Knowledge is power! Understanding the process of introduction to solids is key to success for both the caregiver and the baby.

If your child has any suspected diagnoses, or identified feeding challenges, please book a formal feeding evaluation to most appropriately
meet your child’s needs! 

Includes:

60 minute session

  • Positioning for feeding

  • Presentation and preparation of foods

  • Infant led food exploration

  • Gagging vs. choking

  • Bottle to cup (sippy, straw, open cups)

  • Reading feeding cues/fostering positive relationship with food

  • What’s normal? Quantity, interest, behaviors 

  • Sensory exploration: the importance of messy eating 

  • Scheduling solids with breastmilk/formula feeds, water,
    and naps

  • Introducing Allergens
